Connecticut Medical Marijuana in the Works with Senate Bill 1015

Legislators have introduced Senate Bill 1015 in Connecticut seeking to make it the 16th State to approve medical marijuana. Upon approval the bill would allow doctors to write prescriptions for patients to grow their own cannabis. There are no provisions for dispensaries to operate under this legislation, forcing potential patients to grow their own supply. Of course, Federal prosecutors have threatened to arrest and prosecute those that grow and distribute marijuana, however, Michael P. Lawlor an adviser to the Governor of Connecticut believes it is the States right to choose whether or not to legalize medical marijuana.
